María Margarita, a member of a family living in a mining town in the Atacama Desert of Chile, is the youngest of four siblings. For this family, the most special time of the week is Sunday, when they go to the cinema to escape their daily lives and enjoy the stories that transport them to different worlds. Soon, the family realizes that the young girl has a very special talent: an almost mysterious ability to tell stories from the movies. As the girl's extraordinary ability spreads throughout the village, the fate of the family changes and the country is forever transformed.
