What happens after Tanner is outed by his classmates and becomes the title "gay best friend" for three high school queen bees? When closet-case Tanner (Michael J. Willett) is outed by his high school’s overeager GSA, he becomes a hot commodity for three teen queens who believe that a G.B.F. – “gay best friend” – is this season’s must-have accessory. More powerful than any bullies, fashionista Fawcett (Sasha Pieterse, “Pretty Little Liars”), drama queen Caprice (Xosha Roquemore, PRECIOUS) and Mormon ’Shley (Andrea Bowen, “Desperate Housewives”) stop at nothing to score Tanner as their pet, even if it means driving a wedge between him and his real G.B.F. Brent (Paul Iacono, “The Hard Times of RJ Berger”). Director Darren Stein’s flashy, hilarious comedy about the changing landscape of high school acceptance features a riotously funny performance by “Will & Grace” star Megan Mullally, the most quotable one-liners since MEAN GIRLS, and ingenious references to your favorite teen films and shows, including SIXTEEN CANDLES, CARRIE and “Glee”.
